• Type: South Australia: S end of Wilkinson Lake East, 27 Sept. 1971; B. Lay 512. Holotype: AD.
• "Possibly of hybrid origin (parents A. macropterocarpa or A. lindleyi subsp. quadripartita and another species) but now stabilised" (Paul G. Wilson, 1984).
