- Holotype: CVULA-I-1638, adult ♂, skin, skull and postcranial skeleton, collected by Robinson Pérez in February 1985.
- Type locality: “Paso Hondo, Rio Potosi, 14 km SE Pregonero, Thichira, Venezuela (7°57'N, 71°39'W), 1,050 m elevation”.
