Holotype: BMNH 94.10.1.1, adult ♂, skin and skull.

Type locality: “Valley of Vitoc, [Junín,] East Central Peru.”

Synonyms[edit]

  • Neotomys vulturnus Thomas, 1921 :612 [synonymised by Ortiz & Jayat, 2015: 100]

Holotype: BMNH 21.11.1.34, adult ♀, skin and skull.

Type locality: “Sierra de Zenta, 4500 m,” Jujuy, Argentina; corrected to Sierra de Tilcara (M. M. Díaz and Barquez 2007).
