Neopomacentrus miryae Dor & Allen, 1977

Holotype: BPBM 20322. [Paratypes: BMNH 1976.5.4.1-2 (2); BPBM 14327 (1), 14666 (1), 18208 (2); HUJ 4825 (3); MNHN 1976-0008 (1); SMF 19678 (3); TAU 3225 (11); USNM 215463 (2), 216432 (31); WAM P.25523-002 (1)].

Type locality: Dahab, Sinai Peninsula, Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, depth 10 meters.

  • Etymology: Named in honor of Israeli poet Miri Dor, late wife of taxon author Menachem Dor.
