Type locality: M7 Seamount 1094m
Holotype: MBM286421, collected on June 8, 2019 from the station FX-Dive 220 (10°4.93′N, 140°15.52′E) of M7 seamount with water depth of 1094 m.
Etymology: The Latin adjective elongatus (elongate) refers to the long colony of the species.
