Myrsidea dacostai R.D.Price , K.P.Johnson & R.C.Dalgleish, 2008

Type locality: Peru, 50 km SE Iquitos, Explor Ama Camp, Rio Yanamoto.

Holotype: USNM. male. 20.June.1989. Dalgleish at all.

Etymology

This species is named for Jeff DaCosta, Marjorie Barrick Museum, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in recognition of his assistance in collecting the lice used in this study and for his work on bird systematics.
