Name

Moenkhausia justae Eigenmann, 1908

Holotype (unique): MCZ 21014.

Type locality: “came with others from Dr. Justa through Major Coutinho and was probably found in the neighborhood of Manaos”.

Etymology: in honor of “Dr. Justa” (no other information available), a Brazilian who collected type. (From The ETYFish Project)
