Mimophytum mexicanum (S. Watson) R.R.Mill ex Holstein & Weigend, Phytotaxa 288(2): 141 (2016).

Basionym: Omphalodes mexicana S. Watson, Proc. Amer Acad. Arts 25: 158 (1890).

Type locality: Mexico, Nuevo León, in the Sierra Madre near Monterrey, fissures of dry limerock.

Lectotype: GH00219328: 27 June 1888, C.G. Pringle 1878 (designated by G.L.Nesom (1988)).
