- Holotype: AMNH 161364, adult ♂, collected by Nguyen Quang Truong on 11 May 1998.
- Type locality: “Po-mu Mountain, Huong Son Reserve (now known as Huong Son Forestry and Service Company), Huong Son District, Rao An Region, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam (18°20′53″ N, 105°14′38″ E, elevation 1010-1080 m)”.
