[edit]Spelling emended from MACROPODINAE by the ruling under the plenary power that for the purposes of Article 29 of the Code the stem of the generic name Macropodus Lacepède, 1801 is MACROPODUS-. ICZN Op. 2058. This avoids homonymy with Macropodinae Gray, 1821 (Mammalia).
