Hemibrycon sierraensis García-Alzate et al., 2015

  • Holotype: UARC-IC 134.
  • Paratypes: many.

Type locality: Colombia, Magdalena, Caribbean slope, Río Gaira beneath the bridge at Minca, 11°08’37.8’’N - 74°07’08.1’’W, 120 m a.s.l.

Etymology: Named for the collection locality, in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta drainage, north from Colombia.
