Name[edit]

Herpetoreas pealii (Sclater, 1891)

  • Lectotype: BMNH 1946.1.13.43, adult ♂, collected by S.E. Peal. [designated by Das, Gower & Deepak (2020: 309)]
  • Type locality: “Sibsagar district of Assam”, India.
  • Paralectotype: ZSIK 4034, adult ♂, collection data as for lectotype.
  • Etymology: Named after Samuel Edward Peal (1834–1897), the collector.
