Holotype: BMNH. [presumably lost fide Hooper & Wiedenmayer (1994)]
Neotype: BMNH 1960.1.7.1. [designated by Bergquist & Cook (2002: 1079)]
Type locality: “Berwick Bay: Holy Island”, redesigned by neotype designation to “Black Rock, Brighton, English Channel” by Bergquist & Cook (2002: 1079).
