• Holotype: SAMC-A098939, collected by R. Payne and I. Malick on R/V Ellen Khuzwayo (Voyage 159) on 8 September 2016.
• Type locality: “Amathole region, 33.9948°S, 25.8891°E – 33.9930°S, 25.8917°E, Eastern Cape, South Africa, 22–24 m depth”.
