- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: NSW Brown Mt., c. 2800 ft, rainforest, leafmould, Berlesate N° 20.
- Holotype: ANIC, ♂, 30.III.1967, coll. R.W. Taylor & R.J. Bartell.
- Etymology: The name of the species means “inhabitant of Mt. Brown”.
