Name

Flavovirens hemiglobus Shen, Cheng, Zhang & Wang, 2022

Type locality: Hailong III ROV DY61/I, dive ROV01a, collected by Chengcheng Shen, Sep. 16, 2020, on the Ko-Hakucho Guyot in the northwestern Pacific Ocean (23.5152°N, 148.5779°E), depth of 2716 m, stored in 95% ethanol.

Holotype: SIO-POR-292 (original number: DY61-ROV01a-B06), SRSIO

Etymology: The new species name hemiglobus refers to the hemiglobular body.
