Text Appearing After Image: Labeo niloticus.Nile Delta (F. N.). £. with lips, 2f to 4 times in length of head; both lips with several rowsof rounded or subcorneal papillee, those of the outer row forming adistinct fringe; edge of rostral flap entire; a minute barbel, more orless hidden under folds of skin ; tubercles on the snout, or their pore-like scars, numerous but very small. Dorsal III 14-17, equally distantfrom nostrils or end of snout and from caudal, upper edge usuallymore or less distinctly concave, rarely straight or slightly convex, last LABEO. 305 simple ray and first branched ray usually longest and as long as orlonger than head. Anal III 5, not reaching root of caudal. Pectoralnearly as long as or a little longer than head, not reaching ventral, thefirst ray of which falls below 6th or 7th branched ray of dorsal. Caudaldeeply emarginate, crescentic when fully spread out. Caudal pedunclebut little longer than deep in adult, 1^ to 1^ times as long as deep in 8-—9- young. Scales 41-45 girroi, 5-6
