Summary

Description

Family: Clusiaceae Distribution: Found in tropical Asia and Africa. Planted near temples and houses. Flowers are used for worship, fruits are also eaten. 8-10mts tall evergreen trees. Leaves thick coriaceous, glossy, 6-12x 3-8cm oblong, Flowers,fragrant, 1.5-2cm across white, in in axillary sub-corymbose racemes. Drupes 3-4cm across, globose single seeded.
