Summary

Description
English: Hesperochiron californicus or California hesperochiron - the common name is so much easier to remember, right? These short and sweet members of the borage family are found at riparian edges. We see many of these between Horne Ranch and Sheep Corral during springtime. This photo was taken near Horse Lake Road a few miles west of Highway 395.
