Calandrinia grandiflora—Rock Cress. The species is now known as Cisanthe Grandiflora, but I'm leaving it under its synonym of Calandrinia grandiflora. The species is native to north-central and central Chile. The red maids of California, Calandrinia menzieii, are a close relative. Rock cress is widespread in urban San Francisco Bay Area and requires virtually no tending once it establishes itself. Photographed in a private garden in Berkeley, CA.
