Name[edit]

Syntypes (2): MNHN-RA 2940, adult ♂; 7076, adult ♀.

Type locality: unknown, corrected as “Madras, South India” by Amarasinghe et al. (2016: 157).

Synonyms[edit]

  • Gongylus (Euprepes) bibronii Duméril & Bibron, 1839: 675 [described as new species, but preoccupied by Tiliqua bibronii Gray, 1838]

Type locality: “Afrique australe” (in error).

  • Euprepis trilineatus Gray, 1846: 430 [synonymized by Boulenger (1887: 173)]

Syntypes (5): BMNH 1946.8.19.8-12.

Type locality: “Madras”, India.
