Lectotype: USNM 36139. Paralectotypes: SU 3945 (2); UMMZ 121454 (8), 121464 (1); USNM 198003 [ex USNM 36139] (2). Lectotype designated by Collette & Knapp 1967.

Type locality: Stone River, near Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A.
