[edit]- The genus Ereynetes was erected by Berlese.
- It was divided into four subgenera by Fain (1964: 104) and, subsequently, into five subgenera by Fain (1964: addenda 110; 1985: 257–258).
- The division into five subgenera was maintained by Fain & Van Goethem (1986: 129) and Fain & Camerik (1994) and recognized by Beron (2022).
