Name
[edit]Cyrtodactylus louisiadensis (De Vis, 1892)
- Holotype: Dee Vis's holotype is lost, the holotype of Gymnodactylus olivii (Garman) MCZ 6470 is from Cooktown, Queensland, therefore not C. louisiadensis.
- Neotype: BPBM 19741 (field tag FK 9721), adult ♀, along Gesirava River, W slope Mt. Riu, 11.49179ºS, 153.41261ºE, 127 m, Sudest Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, collected by F. Kraus opn 21 April 2004.
- Type locality: “Tagula Island, British New Guinea” (fide Loveridge 1948) (= Sudest Island, Louisiade Archipelago, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea).
