• Type locality: 27°14.95'N, 112°47.30'E, Hengshan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, China.
• Holotype: planktonic in a freshwater pond. Freshwater Algae Herb., Inst. of Hydrobiol., Chinese Acad. of Sci., Wuhan FACHB-2137 (glutaraldehyde-fixed specimen).
