• Type locality: Nervión Estuary, Basque country, Spain.
• Holotype: Figs 1-4: 2 September 2003; seaward side mouth of river. Type culture: Strain UIO133 maintained at University of Basque country, Spain, and the University of Oslo Culture Collection, Norway.
