Type locality: BRAZIL: Pará: Serra de Carajás, FLONA de Carajás, Gruta S11 D64, 23.vii-02.ix.2007, Andrade et al. leg.
Etymology: from Latin ferrum, referring to the iron ore cave from where this species were collected dwells.
