Possibly rename?[edit]

The name for the category as it is I suspect may be a little misleading, which may explain why some people have been confused about what it's actually for (which is actually for references to update details for later on once the publications are included in a volume or issue proper, right?). Maybe something like "Early online publications"? "In Press"? "References to update"? "References pending updated details"? "References published early online"? (I don't know if my suggestions are that good to be honest)

If that doesn't do the trick or a better name can't be found, maybe it'd be a good idea to add a description for this category either way. Monster Iestyn (talk) 16:04, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

They are certainly not "in press", but I'm not sure there's necessarily any "perfect name" for the category that can't be misunderstood somehow. I think the easiest solution is to add a description, though I am entirely open to a renaming. Maybe a trhead on Village Pump is the place to discuss this.
