    • Type locality: Cuba, Cienfuegos.
      • Type material: ZMB?. Male and female in coll. Staudinger according to Hampson (1898). According to Becker (2002) material not traced.
  • Note: as per Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980), Gundlachia cruenta Herrich-Schäffer, 1866 is a junior subjective synonym of Burtia rubella Grote, 1866. Grote, 1867, as first reviser, chose the name rubella for the taxon for which the names rubella and cruenta were published in the same month. see Grote, 1867: 309
