• Typus: H.F.A. von Eggers 14282 (in flower, February [1892]; Holotypus: [see Note]; ⧼Isotypi⧽: BR [​BR0000005305544^(JSTOR)], F [​V0068504F^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}, fragments], M {M-0187082^(JSTOR), M-0187083^(JSTOR)}, US [​US00138193 (1390371)^(JSTOR)]).
  • Note: Andersson & Ståhl (1999) claim that holotype was deposited in B and destroyed, leaving only a photograph in F (neg. no. 6041^(GBIF)), but it is in fact of M-0187083.
• Type locality: Ecuador. Prope Bulao in silvis [= Near Bulao in forest].
