Type locality: USA, Alabama, Clay Co., Talladega Natl. Forest, 33º27'15"N, 85º50'30"W.
Holotype: USNM. male. GS MEM 965. 16.05.1998. leg. R.L. Brown & J. MacGown.
Etymology[edit]
The specific epithet refers to the type locality, which is derived from the Creek Indian word meaning "border town" (Jemison, 1959)
