Name
[edit]Apterichtus flavicaudus (Snyder, 1904))
Type locality: Auau Channel, between Mauai Island and Lanai Island, Hawaiian Islands, Albatross station 3874, depth 21-28 fathoms.
Etymology: From flavus (= yellow), and caudus (= tail), referring to “lemon yellow” color on posterior half of body in living specimens, (from The ETYFish Project).
