Name
[edit]Anycles Walker, 1854: 253 [[1]]
Type species: Euchromia anthracina Walker, 1854 by subsequent designation by Watson, 1980.
Note: Watson (1980) indicates that Euchromia anthracina was the type species for genus Anycles designated by Hampson (1898). Cerda (2017) stated that this designation by Hampson was actually for genus Amycles, not Anycles, and therefore that Watson (1980) is de facto the author of this designation for genus Anycles.
