Antheraea pernyi (Guérin-Méneville, 1855)

  • Bombyx pernyi Guérin-Méneville, 1855
  • Antheraea pernyi Guérin-Méneville, 1855
  • Antheraea roylei Moore, 1859 (dubious) - NOTE: By virtue of the ICZN Opinion cited below, any taxonomist who considers the wild moth (pernyi) and the domestic moth (roylei) to be conspecific must use the name pernyi. If the two taxa are not considered synonyms, then roylei is a valid taxon name, and spelled roylei rather than roylii.

ICZN (2018) Opinion 2415 (Case 3635) – Antheraea roylei Moore, 1859 (Insecta, Lepidoptera, Saturniidae): specific name not conserved when considered synonymous with that of the supposed wild progenitor Antheraea pernyi (Guérin-Méneville, 1855).
