Etymology

  • "The specific epithet is a patronym formed from the surname Holmes, the maiden name of the late Ms. Dorothy Bradbeer of Agriculture Canada, mother of Beverley Burlingame, the collector and donor of the holotype, who instilled in her as a youth a love of insects and fossils."
