- Holotype: NMSA, ♂, 27.xi.1978 / Brothers & J.-Guillarmod.
- Type locality: SOUTH AFRICA: Kruger Park, Letaba Camp, 30km W. Hoedspruit [24°21'S:30°58'E].
- Etymology: Gr. anatolikos – eastern. Refers to the eastern distribution of the species.
