• Firstly, I DIDN'T remove the English vernacular name - I moved it to the top of the list of vernacular names, where it belongs since English is the main language, and it just gets lost in the big list otherwise.
• Secondly, please read the section I put on the Village Pump regarding authorities for names above family group.

There is presently a [discussion on the use of daggers to denote extinct taxa. This will affect a large portion of the pages in wikispecies as the project grows so if possible please read the contributions so far and comment. Thanks --Kevmin 06:57, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

What should we do if a genus has way too many species? Do we list them all anyway? For example: Erica (Ericaceae). That mess of links isn't too appealing :) Rocket000 13:34, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

Oberthür redirected from to Charles Oberthür but there 3 Oberthür : Charles Oberthür fr (1845 - 1924), his brother René Oberthür fr (1852-1944), his father François-Charles Oberthür fr (1818 -1893) ! I’m not a specialist so i’m a little confused to find who named what. Could you help me ?

It is confusing. It is similar to a disambiguation page (les pages d'homonymie). If we knew for certain then we could add René Oberthür and François-Charles Oberthür and make the correct links. --Open2universe | Talk 01:08, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
