Talk:Trichoptera
From Wikispecies
Two classification systems are in use in the Trichoptera, but I don't know which one is the more accepted right now. The one used here have a system of three modern subordines, Annulipalpia, Integripalpia and Spicipalpia. The second one use only two subordines (Annulipalpia and Integripalpia), but the subordo are here divided in many infraordines. In this system, the Spicipalpia are an infraordo of the Annulipalpia. The monophyly of Spicipalpia has not yet been confirmed. In some analyses, Spicipalpia is paraphyletic, nested within Annulipalpia; in others it is monophyletic.
