The circumscription follows that evidenced on APGIII and the species list is based upon The Plant List. Therefor the tribes originally on the page have been superseded by the four sub-families. Tribal relations in Primuloideae may still be appropriate, but this sub-family has been much reduced as many non-herbaceous genera have been re-circumscribed to Myrsinoideae. It would make sense to have genera in the later sub-family grouped in tribes, however, there do not seem to be any currently available from the indices of plant names.
