Distribution: southern Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Kambodscha and Indonesia (Sumatera)
Medium sized gibbon (about 42 to 58 cm), a tail-less ape with long arms and legs. Color can be black to cream-colored, only hands, feet and eyebrows are always bright. The Lar lives in the treetops and is usually not seen on the ground.
