In the following paper Molecular systemics and conservation of kakariki (Cynanoramphus spp.) PDF published by the Department of Conservation in Wellington, New Zealand in 2001, they recommend increasing the number of species from 5 to 10. I am trying to determine if these recommendations were ever approved by any official body.Open2universe 18:30, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
They add malherbi, forbesi, erythrotis, cooki, saisetti
