Holotype: FMNH 64383. Paratypes: FMNH 64384 (1); UF 202349 [ex UMML 2349] (1); USNM 185695 (1).

Type locality: Western Caribbean Sea, 16°39'N, 81°43'W, Oregon station 1878, depth 125 fathoms (= 228.6 meters).[1]
