- Type locality: United States. Alaska. Juneau: Gastineau Channel, Thane Road (S Juneau; 58°16.9'N, 134°22.4'W).
- Etymology: The species epithet, grecorum, is a plural genitive Latin patronym to honor and recognize the generous contributions of Richard Art and Karen Greco (nee Halliday) toward the improvement of mankind, their friendship, and their love of Alaska.
