This fascinating little pantropical "weed" is naturalized in Florida. The flowers are about 5mm across and the leaves 5-10mm. I often find it growing along roadways and paths in natural areas. It's easy to miss, even when in bloom. The plant is very palatable to cattle and poultry and has a variety of traditional medicinal uses including healing wounds, sores and itches, and treating several digestive problems. A surprising variety of compounds are produced by this tiny plant.
