Summary

Description Solitary Sandpiper (Tringa solitaria). The white belly almost ruined the photo, but not quite. Near Mono Lake, California. The amazing thing about this day was that there were 5 Solitary Sandpipers feeding here, in close proximity. Not very solitary, this group. Note how the light reflects off the ripples and cause horizontal lines on the belly.
