Summary

Description

Neottiura bimaculata (= Theridion bimaculatum) (Theridiidae).

Approx 1.9mm long. Fourth leg femora with semi-transparent triangular cuticular spine at base (length approx the width of femur). Head region with pair slightly wavey hairs projecting up & forwards.

From low tree branches beside woodland ride. Reared for a week until moulted to maturity.

Bricket Wood Common, Hertfordshire, England, 21st May 2012.
