Description

Guayacan tree flower (Guaiacum coulteri)

Most species of Guaiacum are threatened and listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and their trade controlled under CITES. This species of Guaiacum occur in western Mexico G. coulteri, a shrub to small tree endemic to the seasonally dry forests of the Pacific Coast of Mexico ranging from Sonora to Oaxaca.
