The bark of this tree in East Africa is said to contain 14 percent of tannin. Tribe II.—Helictere^e. Kleinhovia, Linn. Hospita, Linn. Helicteres, Linn. semiglabra. F. v. M. var. procumbens, Benth. var. flagellaris, Benth. spicata, Colehr. Pterospermum, Schreb. acerifolium, Willd. —Doubtful if indigenous. A tree in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, I was told by Air.
