Type locality: "...Aufenthalt in dem nördlichen Theil des stillen Meeres...westlichen Küste von Amerika... östlichen von Kamtschatka...Inseln...Küsten unter dem 56ten Grade der Breite liegen." [N part of the Pacific. Russia, Commander and Bering Isls].
